School Safety
Please help us keep our students safe by following these procedures:
- Start of school day - Students are not permitted to arrive before 9:00am (one half hour before school begins) as we do not have supervision prior to that time. If you need morning or afternoon child care, it is a fee for service (application available in the front office).
- End of school day - Students must be picked up in the front loop by 4:35pm (one half hour after school ends). Please pull around loop up to stop sign in order to expedite the process for everyone. Please do not pick up your child on Dakota Drive or Military Trail or you may be subject to a citation from local police.
- If your children walk to school or ride their bikes/skateboards/ebikes to school, they are welcome on campus after 9:00 am. Please remind them to use the sidewalks and cross at the corner of Dakota Drive and Military Trail where the school crossing guard is located to assist all children.
- Florida laws require children under the age of 16 to wear a properly fitted and securely fastened helmet when riding bikes and skateboards.
Early Dismissal Procedures
If you need to pick up your child early, please follow these steps:
- Parent/guardian sends note to school with student. Include name, time of dismissal, reason for early check out, and with whom they are leaving. Only adults listed in SIS will be permitted to pick up student.
- Student takes the note to Front Office when they arrive and staff complete an Early Dismissal Pass.
- Student will receive a yellow Early Dismissal Pass.
- Student shows the yellow Early Dismissal Pass to the teacher of the class during which they will leave. This allows teachers to know what time student will leave class.
- At designated time, the student leaves class and reports to the Front Office to await pickup.
- Parent/guardian/approved adult must come into Front Office and present photo ID for check out.
- Reminder – No early dismissals after 3:30pm.
