Paul S. Destito

Paul Destito, a resident of Hobe Sound Florida, is currently the band director at Jupiter Middle School in Jupiter, Florida. A graduate of the Crane School of Music (SUNY) and Northern Illinois University, Mr. Destito has studied under Tony Maiello, Elliot Del Borgo and Arnold Jacobs. He has been a member of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago, Rockford Symphony and the Utica Symphony. 

Mr. Destito has enjoyed a long and distinguished teaching career in Florida.  He is a nine-time teacher-of-the-year in Martin and Palm Beach counties and a three-time Educational Foundation of Palm Beach County Dwyer Award finalist for excellence in teaching. 
In Florida, Mr. Destito has served as Assistant Band Director at South Fork High School, Band Director at Indiantown Middle School, and Adjunct Professor of Music at Indian River State College.  He is widely sought after as an adjudicator, clinician, and guest conductor.  Under his direction the Jupiter Middle School Band has achieved acclaim, won top honors at national music competitions, and continues to earn consistent superior ratings at Florida Bandmasters Association Music Performance Assessments.

Mr. Destito resides in Hobe Sound with his wife Carolyn Destito, also a music teacher in Palm Beach County schools. He enjoys riding his motorcycle, fixing things that break in the homes of his two daughters, and entertaining his granddaughters.
