Eighth Grade U.S. History

Room 5-16

I am so delighted to have your student this year! It is my unwavering opinion that ALL students can learn and be successful. Students will use a variety of resources, complete research projects, be encouraged to be independent thinkers, learning how to integrate all other subjects into

social studies and receive rigorous and relevant instruction. I look forward to working with each student and their families.

Below is a list of suggested items that really help to make our class a pleasant working environment:

· High Interest novels/periodicals, white and colored copy paper, markers and colored pencils, construction paper, disinfectant wipes, Kleenex and paper towels. I would appreciate any donation of these items (see supply list).

Please be sure to check your child’s agenda daily for weekly assignments and SIS for final grades. Make sure that your child study’s at least 15 minutes per day. Preview your handbook for the attendance policy and other important policies and procedures. Please sign up to volunteer here at the school. A little goes a long way.
