Welcome to 8th Grade Science!

I am excited to have you in class this year!

Background:  I was born and raised in Palm Beach County, and I come from a large, tight knit family.  I went to Cardinal Newman High School and I received my degree in Molecular and Microbiology from UCF.  I then finished my teaching courses at FAU and Palm Beach State.  This is my 15th year teaching.  One of the reasons that I love teaching is that I love working with kids.  I get free entertainment every day!  On my summers off, I enjoy traveling and being out on the water.

Inspiration:  My mom inspired me to teach because she was my best teacher.  Education was always important in my house.  She always helped with homework and studying, but she was also supportive in helping others achieve their goals and communicate thoughts.  One of her strongest skills was promoting self - confidence.  I try to do this with my students by having a relaxed and comfortable classroom.  I like seeing the smiles on your faces when you finally understand a new concept.
